Constitution Day of Ukraine

Ukraine continues to advocate the restoration of its sovereignty over Crimea and work towards peaceful resolution. Through adherence to the principles of the Constitution and determination to uphold international law, Ukraine seeks to overcome the challenges posed by the occupation and pave the way for a future where Crimea is once again an integral part of Ukraine.

To facilitate this process, Ukraine has launched the Crimean Platform. Together with the international community, we aim at mobilizing support and engagement from countries worldwide to address the ongoing issue of the illegal occupation of Crimea by Russia. We welcome the participation of every country in raising international awareness, fostering cooperation, and exerting diplomatic pressure on those responsible for the illegal occupation.

As we mark the Constitution Day of Ukraine, I want to emphasize: Crimea is not just some territory that can be quickly seized nor a geopolitical tool that can be causally manipulated. Under the Constitution, Crimea is an inseparable constituent part of Ukraine. And for Ukrainians, Crimea is part of our nation. Crimea is Ukraine. And I hope, together we can foster united front to restore Ukrainian sovereignty over Crimea.
