Pada Tahun 1999 ditetapkan Undang-undang Nomor 36 Tahun 1999 tentang Telekomunikasi.

Sejak tahun 1989, Pemerintah Indonesia melakukan deregulasi di sektor telekomunikasi dengan membuka kompetisi pasar bebas.

Dengan demikian, Telkom tidak lagi memonopoli telekomunikasi Indonesia.

Telkom membeli 35% saham Telkomsel dari Indosat tahun 2001 yang merupakan bagian dari implementasi restrukturisasi industri jasa telekomunikasi di Indonesia yang ditandai dengan penghapusan kepemilikan bersama dan kepemilikan silang antara Telkom dan Indosat.

Sejak bulan Agustus 2002 terjadi duopoli penyelenggaraan telekomunikasi lokal.

Pada tangal 23 Oktober 2009, Telkom meluncurkan "New Telkom" ("Telkom baru") yang ditandai dengan penggantian identitas perusahaan.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree.
• Max. 40 years old
• Have 3 years hands-on experience in the exploitation of data and the use of advanced statistical and modeling techniques to
• understand and improve business performance in at least one major industry vertical;

• Be a clear, confident and persuasive communicator, with excellent presentation skills and with the ability to structure a coherent, logical argument and the confidence to defend assumptions, projections and recommendations;
• Demonstrate a keen interest in, and fair understanding of, big data technology and the business trends that are driving the adoption of this technology;
• Be proficient in the use of both written and spoken business English;
• Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Demonstrate excellent organizational and people skills, including the ability to work independently and appropriately prioritize between competing opportunities;
• Have a background in business and/or technology consulting;
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence;
• Capable to build robust end-to-end predictive models using the latest Machine Learning techniques and methodologies;
• Be familiar with both SQL and at least one of the following procedural programming languages C, C#, Java, Python, Perl, R;

2. UI Designer

Requirements

Candidate must possess at least Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree.
Max. 40 years old
Proven UI experience
Demonstrable UI design skills with a strong portfolio
Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps
Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, OmniGraffle, or other visual design and wire-framing tools
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for rapid prototyping
Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction
Ability to present your designs and sell your solutions to various stakeholders
Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
Up-to-date in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or related latest UI trends.
Preferable having a national / international certificate from trusted institutions recognized by professional organizations.
