Pada tahun 2004, pria ini dilaporkan menjadi anggota resmi Soka Gakkai International, suatu aliran Buddha dengan ajaran Nichiren Daishonin.

Tak disangka-sangka, selain sebagai aktor, Bloom juga seorang aktivis lingkungan.

Sejak awal tahun 2000-an, aktor yang pernah mendapat nominasi Australian Film Institute (AFI) ini ikut dalam Global Green, suatu organisasi lingkungan.

Sebagai aktivis lingkungan, Bloom berusaha melakukan segalanya dengan pertimbangan lingkungan, seperti merenovasi rumahnya yang Ia beli di London sehingga memiliki panel tenaga matahari (solar), melakukan recycle barang-barang dan hemat penggunaan listrik.

Selain peduli lingkungan, Bloom juga peduli terhadap anak-anak, dan ia cukup sering ikut dalam acara sosial untuk anak-anak.

Dikabarkan, UNICEF pernah mengajak pria tampan ini untuk menjadi salah satu duta internasional mereka dalam misi ke suatu tempat di daerah Asia Tenggara.

Pertemuan pertamanya dengan aktris Kate Bosworth terjadi di luar sebuah kedai kopi, beberapa waktu kemudian dia dikenalkan lagi pada gadis itu oleh seorang temannya, lalu dia bertemu lagi dengan Kate di acara perdana film The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.

Kedua aktor itu berkencan sampai kemudian berpisah untuk sementara pada tahun 2005.

Namun, pada tanggal 5 September 2006, beberapa sumber melaporkan bahwa pasangan muda itu resmi berpisah lagi.

Pria muda ini juga sempat digosipkan sedang dekat dengan Naomi Harris, pemeran Tia Dalma di Pirates of The Caribbean.

Belakangan, Orlando Bloom digosipkan sedang dekat dengan Jennifer Aniston, mantan istri Brad Pitt.

Namun, keduanya menyangkal gosip itu dan mengatakan bahwa mereka adalah teman.

Pada tahun 2010 Bloom menikah dengan SuperModel asal Australia Miranda Kerr mempunyai anak bernama Flyn, setelah tiga tahun menikah kemudian berpisah pada tahun 2013.

Alasannya yaitu karena telah memilih tinggal bersama Katy.

Dilansir dari Grid Id, diketahui belum lama ini Katy Perry pamer cincin sebagai tanda telah dilamar Orlando Bloom.

Mereka resmi bertunangan pada hari valetine, 14 Februari 2019.

Sejak bertunangan, Katy dikabarkan tinggal serumah dengan tunangannya itu.

Mereka tinggal berdua di kediaman Katy, karena dianggapp jauh lebih privasi.

Bukan hanya Bloom, Katy juga dikabarkan menjual rumahnya di Hollywood Hills.

Rumah tersebut ia jual seharga 134 Miliar dengan perkebunan seluas 2,33 acre.

Bangunan tersebut terbagi dalam 4 bangunan berbeda.
