TRIBUNWIKI: Rocker Lawas Roky Erickson Meninggal di Usia 71, Ini Profil dan Perjalanan Kariernya
elopor Rock Psychedeli Roky Erickson dikabarkan tutup usia pada, Jumat (31/5/2019) kemarin di Austin, Texas.

Pada 8 September 2008, band post-rock Skotlandia Mogwai merilis Batcat EP. Erickson ditampilkan di salah satu trek, "Devil Rides".
Erickson tampil bersama band rock indie yang berbasis di Austin, Okkervil River di Austin Music Awards pada 2008 dan kemudian lagi di South by Southwest music festival 2009.
Erickson kembali ke panggung pada tahun 2008 untuk membawakan lagu-lagu dari katalog Elevators Lantai 13 yang tidak pernah dilakukan selama beberapa dekade dengan rekan-rekan Austinites The Black Angels sebagai band pendukungnya.
Setelah berbulan-bulan berlatih dan merekam waktu di studio Austin, mereka melakukan pertunjukan di Dallas diikuti oleh tur Pantai Barat.
The Black Angels memainkan set reguler dan kemudian mendukung Erickson sebagai bagian irama, memainkan lagu-lagu Elevators Lantai 13 serta lagu-lagu dari album solo Erickson.
Pada tanggal 20 April 2010, Erickson merilis True Love Cast Out All Evil, album pertama materi baru dalam 14 tahun. Okkervil River berperan sebagai band pendukung Erickson di album ini.
Pada bulan Maret 2012 Roky Toured New Zealand dan Australia untuk pertama kalinya menjadi berita utama Golden Plains Sixxx Festival di Meredeth serta bermain pertunjukan sampingan yang terjual habis di Sydney dan Melbourne.
Pada 10 Mei 2015, Roky tampil dengan Elevators Lantai 13 di Levitation yang bersatu kembali (sebelumnya Austin Psych Fest, acara ini dinamai "Levitation" setelah lagu dengan judul yang sama).
Band ini terdiri dari anggota band asli Erickson, Tommy Hall, John Ike Walton, dan Ronnie Leatherman, bergabung dengan putra Roky Jegar Erickson, dan gitaris Fred Mitchim.
