Awalnya bernama Grand Clarion
Manajemen Phinisi Hospitality akhirnya mengganti nama Grand Clarion Hotel & Convection menjadi Hotel Claro Makassar, Sabtu (30/6/2018).
Pergantian nama tersebut disaksikan ribuan tamu undangan dari relasi bisnis Phinisi Hospitality yang berlangsung di Ballroom Phinsi lantai 2 hotel berbintang empat tersebut.
Komisaris Utama Phinisi Hospitality, Wilianto Tanta mengatakan, pergantian nama dari Clarion Hotel menjadi Hotel Claro diinisiasi oleh anaknya Jennifer Anastasya Tanta.
"Tidak ada perubahan pemegang saham, hanya nama yang berubah dan perubahan ini didorong anak saya yang alumni luar negeri," tegas Wilianto Tanta di hadapan ribuan tamu.
Acara pergantian nama yang bertepatan dengan anniversarinya ke-12 Clarion Hotel (Hotel Claro) dibuka dengan tari-tarian tradisional Sulawesi Selatan (Sulsel) dan ceramah singkat.
Hadir dalam acara tersebut Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Phinisi Hospitality, Anggiat Sinaga, Rektor UMI, Prof Dr Masruroh Mokhtar MA, Direktur Utama Sriwijaya Distrik Makassar, Sri Budiyanto, Pangdam XIV/Hasanuddin Mayjen TNI Agus SB dan beberapa pimpinan perusahaan.(*)
